Description
BOX Optronics BFLD-1310-1HSM-FA is a 1310 nm high-power DFB butterfly laser diode delivering up to 100 mW (SM fiber) of continuous-wave, single-longitudinal-mode power.
Packaged in a 14-pin butterfly housing, it integrates a thermoelectric cooler, 10 kΩ thermistor and monitor photodiode for ±0.1 °C temperature stability and closed-loop power control.
The built-in isolator and FC/APC pigtail ensure reliable, back-reflection-free coupling to standard single-mode fiber, while the >35 dB side-mode suppression ratio guarantees pure, low-noise spectra for demanding analog and digital links.
Operating on 250 mA typical current (max 400 mA) and 3 V, the laser withstands 0–70 °C case temperatures and offers Telcordia-grade reliability for 24/7 field use.
Applications span high-bit-rate fiber-optic communication, CATV trunk amplification, RF-over-fiber links, and precision test equipment where stable, high-power 1310 nm light is critical.
