Description
The BOX OptronicsTech 980nm pump laser module, model BFLD-976F-4HSM-N0, integrates a planar construction DFB chip with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) frequency locking.
It is capable of delivering up to 400mW of continuous power at wavelengths of either 974nm or 976nm, with excellent short-term (≤ ±0.02 dB) and long-term (≤ ±0.05 dB) stability.This module features a 14-pin butterfly package that is free of epoxy and flux, and includes an integrated thermoelectric cooler, thermistor, and monitor. It employs FBG stabilization to "lock" the emission wavelength, providing a noise-free narrowband spectrum even under changes in temperature, drive current, and optical feedback.
For applications requiring the highest performance in spectrum control and the highest available power, this module also offers wavelength selection. The module complies with the Telcordia GR-468-CORE standard.
The 980nm pump laser module is suitable for applications such as dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA), reduced pump-count EDFA architectures, very long-distance cable television (CATV) trunks, and applications with very high node counts.
