Description
BOX Optronics’ BFLD-980F-6HPM-N0 is a Telcordia-grade 980 nm pump laser module engineered for high-gain, low-noise EDFA chains.
A fiber-Bragg-grating-locked chip delivers 600 mW of kink-free, single-mode power at 974-977 nm with <2 nm RMS width and ±0.5 nm thermal drift, ensuring flat DWDM gain across the C-band.
The 14-pin butterfly package integrates a high-efficiency TEC, 10 kΩ thermistor and rear-facet monitor for closed-loop wavelength and power stability from –5 °C to 75 °C case. Epoxy-free, flux-free construction and PM980 fiber pigtail guarantee long-term reliability and low splice loss in submarine, CATV trunk and reduced-pump-count amplifier architectures.
Electrical interfaces follow industry pin-out; no external optics are required. Units are burn-in screened and shipped with 1.5 m bare fiber for immediate integration into EDFA or Raman cards.
Custom center wavelengths, power levels and connectorization are available on request
