Description
The CWDM 10 mW DFB Butterfly Laser Diode is a high-performance, continuous-wave semiconductor laser designed for cost-effective coarse wavelength-division-multiplexing networks.
Built around a multi-quantum-well distributed-feedback chip, it delivers 10 mW of stable single-mode power at ITU-grid wavelengths from 1260 nm to 1650 nm, with 1.55 µm as the standard centre.
The 14-pin industry-standard butterfly package integrates a precision TEC, thermistor and 30 dB optical isolator, guaranteeing <2 MHz linewidth, >35 dB side-mode suppression and ≤0.1 nm wavelength drift over 25 years.
Operating on 100 mA typical bias and 1.2 V forward voltage, the device handles -20 to +70 °C case temperatures while the TEC maintains chip temperature within ±0.1 °C. SMF-28e fibre pigtail terminated with FC/APC connector offers low back-reflection, making the module ideal for CWDM/DWDM transceivers, passive optical networks, CATV transmitters and test instrumentation.
Telcordia GR-468 qualified and RoHS compliant, it provides network builders a reliable, ready-to-integrate laser source for today’s high-capacity metro and access links.
