Description
This 1550nm SLD broadband light source micro-module is based on semiconductor superluminescent diode technology, delivering high output power and broadband spectrum for optical fiber sensing and precision optical applications. It supports external communication control and host software, enabling convenient adjustment of output power to meet different system requirements.
The module features ultra-wide spectrum, low spectral ripple, flat spectral profile, and high customization flexibility. With a center wavelength of 1550nm±20nm, its -3dB bandwidth exceeds 30nm. The output power is available above 3mW or above 10mW. It offers excellent stability: short-term stability ≤±0.02dB per 15 minutes and long-term stability ≤±0.05dB per 8 hours. It uses SMF-28e or PM1550 pigtail fiber with FC/APC connector, equipped with DB9 female (RS485) communication interface. Powered by 5VDC with power consumption below 15W, the compact module measures 46.6(W)×51.6(D)×15(H)mm. It operates reliably at -5℃ to +55℃ and humidity 0–70%RH.
This SLD module is widely used in fiber optic gyroscopes, medical imaging, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and other high‑precision optical systems.
