Description
High power room temperature QCL system by Pranalytica.
Model 1101-46-HP-YYYY is a mid-infrared (MWIR) quantum cascade laser system that provides high peak power, fast rise and fall time optical pulses at the wavelength of 4.6 µm. It is supplied as a complete system consisting of the laser head with its matched power supply, ready to be turned on in a customer's location.

Applications
Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) represent a fundamentally new class of
semiconductor lasers that are capable of generating light in the mid wave to long
wave infrared portions of the spectrum, generally between 4 and 12 microns.
Having no serious competition from other solid state light sources in this spectral
window in wavelength agility, optical power, and size/weight, QCLs further existing applications and enable new ones in fields as diverse as spectroscopy, free space optical communications, and directed infrared countermeasures and other security areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
The wavelength of the Model 1101-46-HP-YYYY laser system is 4.6 µm.
The peak pulse power output of the Model 1101-46-HP-1000 version is > 1.0 W in an ambient environment with the laser head at room temperature.
The pulse length range that can be specified by the customer is 50 ns to 500 ns.
Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) can be used in fields such as spectroscopy, free space optical communications, and directed infrared countermeasures and other security areas.
Yes, the laser system is available (at optional extra cost) with an external bayonet mount infrared beam expanding lens for projection of the MWIR beam over kilometer distances.
