Lasergrade LiNbO3 has a dimensional tolerance of ±0.1mm, a surface quality of 20/10 Scratch/Dig per MIL-O-13830B, a flatness of λ/8@633nm, a perpendicularity of 5arcmin, and a parallelism better than 20arcsec. It also has a clear aperture of >Central90% and an AR coating with R<0.2% at center wavelength.

LiNbO3 has a trigonal crystal structure, a melting point of 1255+/-5℃, a Mohs hardness of 5, and a density of 4.64g/cm3. It has a transparency range of 420-5200nm and refractive indices of ne=2.146,no=2.220@1300nm, ne=2.156,no=2.322@1064nm, ne=2.203,no=2.286@633m.

LiNbO3 is widely used as frequency doublers for wavelength >1um and optical parametric oscillators (OPO) pumped at 1064 nm as well as quasi-phase-matched (QPM) devices.

The typical applications of LiNbO3 are frequency doublers, optical parametric oscillators (OPO), quasi-phase-matched (QPM) devices, Q-switches, and modulators.

LiNbO3 has large Acousto-Optic (A-O) coefficients and large Electro-Optic (E-O) coefficients.
