Frequently Asked Questions

The LPS-5 power supply is used for CW and chopped output operation of the PL5 CO2 Laser.

The PL5 CO2 Laser is used for a wide variety of applications from molecular spectroscopy, non-linear optics, interferometry, process control, atmospheric studies, plasma density measurements and much more.

The PL5-QS option is a six-sided polygon scanning mirror assembly which mounts in the intercavity space between the grating and rear Brewster window. It allows Q-Switched operation of the PL5 and achieves pulses of typically 2kW peak power and pulse widths of 200ns at frequencies up to 1kHz.

The PL5 CO2 Laser produces single line powers in excess of 50W and operates on more than 80 individual lines.

The PS4P power unit is used for pulsed output operation of the PL5 CO2 Laser in addition to CW and chopped output modes.
