Description
BOX Optronics C-Band Erbium-doped Fiber Booster Amplifier squeezes up to 26 dBm of saturated power from a single 5 V supply while keeping noise below 5 dB.
Covering the full 1530-1565 nm window, the unit accepts -6 to +3 dBm input and delivers 15/17/20/23/25 or 26 dBm output simply by RS-232 command.
Packaged as a 125×150×20 mm plug-and-play module or a 260×280×120 mm benchtop box, it consumes <15 W and operates from -5 °C to +55 °C. APC and ACC loops hold power or current constant, PDG <0.3 dB and PMD <0.5 ps preserve signal integrity, and >35 dB isolation protects source and line.
SMF-28e fiber with FC/APC connectors, DB9 interface and AC/DC adapters are included. Use it as a booster after 10G/100G transceivers, a pre-amp for long-haul spans, or a gain block in fiber sensors and test beds where stable, high-power C-band light is demanded.
