The Integrated Tunable Laser Assembly (ITLA) from BOX OptronicsTech is a high-performance optical device designed for advanced optical communication systems, test and measurement, and fiber optic sensing networks.

This ITLA integrates a cooled external cavity diode laser and thermally-tuned FP filters to achieve single-mode operation at selectable wavelengths within the C-band (1529.16–1567.13 nm). It offers excellent optical performance with high output power stability, a high side-mode-suppression ratio (SMSR), ultra-narrow laser linewidth, low relative intensity noise (RIN), and high wavelength control accuracy.

The ITLA features narrow linewidth laser output, low RIN, high SMSR, low power consumption, and excellent lasing frequency accuracy. It supports standard ITU grid wavelength tuning and provides comprehensive control and monitoring functionalities. The module is designed to operate within a wide temperature range (-20 to +70°C) and offers long-term stability in both power and wavelength, ensuring reliable performance in various environmental conditions.

These ITLA modules are core components in DWDM fiber optic networks, significantly reducing network installation and management costs in multi-channel DWDM systems. They follow the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) within the OIF, ensuring interchangeability and flexibility for generic 10Gbps systems. The ITLA is equipped with a user-friendly software interface for easy control and monitoring, making it suitable for both laboratory and industrial applications.
