Frequently Asked Questions

Micro rod lenses are designed for use in a variety of laser and imaging systems, including endoscopes for medical and industrial use, capsule endoscopes, and fiber communication systems.

A micro rod lens is a small lens with an outer diameter as small as 0.5mm and a length of up to 25mm, with any radius of curvature that can be made.

Rod lenses can provide images with greater brightness, contrast, and color reproduction than conventional lenses. Collimated light passing through the diameter of the rod lens will be focused into a line.

A variety of optical glass or other materials, such as N-SF11, H-LAF 76, Fused Silica, and H-LaF53, are available for customer's design.

Micro rod lenses are available in flat, plano-convex, plano-concave, double convex shapes, and can be combined to form unique rod-shaped glued lenses.
