Description
Plano-convex lenses are positive focal length elements that have one spherical surface and one flat surface. These lenses are designed for infinite conjugate (parallel light) use or simple imaging in non-critical applications. These optic lenses are ideal for all-purpose focusing elements.
Esco's IR plano-convex lenses are manufactured using low OH IR grade fused silica, these optics allow for exceptional transmission up to 3 microns. Combined with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, superior homogeneity and low birefringence, low OH IR grade fused silica is an outstanding alternative to significantly more expensive IR materials. Applications of interest include process control and inspection using machine vision, high resolution SWIR imaging, remote sensing and metrology.
