Description
Gentec-EO offers a room-temperature pyroelectric detector for terahertz (THz) sensing applications. Pyroelectric detectors are AC sources whose output varies inversely with the thickness of material temperature. Broadband, room-temperature pyroelectric detectors are playing an important role in the research and development of advanced THz sources. Interest for these sources have increased dramatically over the past five years as has interest in development of broadband thermal detectors to support the research.

Features
- RELATIVE MEASUREMENTS FROM: 0.1 TO 30 THz. Broadband, room temperature operation, easier to use and less expensive than a Golay cell.
- FLAT SPECTRAL RESPONSE: Get the best precision accross the entire wavelength range
- MEASURE HIGHER POWERS: Up to 3 W of continuous power with the THZ12D model, the highest in our terahertz range of products
- USE WITH A UNIVERSAL MONITOR: No need for an exclusive monitor. These unique THz detectors work with our standard universal monitors: MAESTRO, M-LINK
- LARGE APERTURES: Models range from 9 to 12 mm Ø aperture
- CALIBRATED AT 10.6 μm: THZ-D detectors are calibrated at a single wavelength (10.6 μm) and include typical wavelength correction data from 10.6 to 440μm. They are used for relative measurements outside that range.
Applications
- Security scanning of people and baggage
- Nondestructive testing of airplane wing structures
- Early detection of cancerous growths
- Noninvasive testing in microelectronics
- Terahertz spectroscopy
