Frequently Asked Questions

The OV24A sensor family consists of three individual products: OV24A1Q, OV24A1B and OV24A10.

The OV24A sensors have automatic black level calibration (ABLC), programmable controls for frame rate, mirror and flip, binning, cropping, and windowing. They also support dynamic DPC cancellation and various output formats and image sizes.

The OV24A1B is a monochrome sensor while the OV24A10 is a Bayer sensor. When used as the primary, rear-facing camera in a dual-camera configuration, they enable higher zoom ratios and higher-quality still images and video even in low-light conditions.

The OV24A1Q has a unique four-cell color-filter pattern and an on-chip, in-pixel binning feature that captures four times more light photons than a standard 0.9-micron pixel, enabling better image quality in low-light conditions. It is ideal for front-facing camera applications.

The typical module size of OV24A sensors is 8.5 x 8.5 x ~5.5 mm.
