Frequently Asked Questions

The Acuros HD SWIR Camera is a high definition camera that features CQD Colloidal Quantum Dot technology. It delivers broadband, visible-to-SWIR, high resolution images at a far superior cost point compared to InGaAs SWIR cameras.

The Acuros HD SWIR Camera is intended for use in applications including machine vision, silicon inspection, surveillance, hyperspectral imaging, and more. It can be used in industrial automation, process control, moisture detection, fill level inspection, plastics sorting, surveillance and security, chemical sensing, gas leak detection, explosives detection, IR surveillance, agriculture, crop health monitoring, water and moisture monitoring, and food sorting.

The Acuros HD SWIR Camera uses CQD Sensor Technology, where tiny semiconductor 'Quantum Dot' crystals are deposited directly onto silicon CMOS circuitry. This results in higher resolution sensors delivered at lower cost/megapixel than InGaAs sensors.

The Acuros HD SWIR Camera comes in three different models: Acuros VGA SWIR Camera (640 x 512), Acuros 1MP SWIR Camera (1280 x 1024), and Acuros HD SWIR Camera (1920 x 1080).

The Acuros HD SWIR Camera has a spectral band of 400-1700 nm, a pixel pitch of 15 µm, and an integration time of 10 µsec–30 msec. It has a maximum frame rate of 95 fps, a quantum efficiency of 15% average, and a dynamic range of >2100:1. It also has non-uniformity correction, binning arrays, and windowing/region of interest (ROI) capabilities.
