Description
Precision Glass & Optics (PG&O) offers a wide range of custom-engineered optical prisms designed for critical applications in imaging, laser systems, and beam control. Each prism type is manufactured with precise angular tolerances, high-quality surface finishes, and tight dimensional control, ensuring optimal optical performance in complex optical paths.
Our Dove prisms enable image rotation at twice the angle of the prism’s rotation—ideal for image inversion or beam manipulation in collimated systems. Equilateral prisms serve as efficient dispersive elements, while Littrow prisms are perfect for wavelength selection in laser cavities. Penta prisms provide fixed 90° beam deviation without image inversion, making them ideal for instrument compactness.
Additional options include Rhomboid prisms for lateral beam displacement, Right Angle prisms for beam folding and redirection, and Roof (Amici) prisms for upright, correctly oriented imaging. Wedge prisms, offered as single or paired units, allow precise beam steering or anamorphic correction.
PG&O’s custom prisms are built to exacting standards, with angular tolerances as tight as ±2 arc seconds and surface accuracies up to λ/10. All designs can be tailored to meet your project’s size, coating, and material requirements.
