Frequently Asked Questions

The laser current is set by an analog voltage applied to the laser diode set pin, which can be derived from an external high-resolution DAC or with a simple potentiometer.

The module is used in instrumentation, EDFA, Fiber Laser, and Direct drive laser diode applications.

The features include constant current operation, output current up to 1A, versions for grounded cathode or grounded anode laser diode, on-board protection and shutdown for over current and over temperature, soft-start enable, reference voltage and temperature outputs, and 3.3V or 5V operation.

The module is used to control the current of laser diodes in a range of applications requiring drive currents of up to 1A, including Fiber Laser, Direct Drive Laser Diodes, DPSS, and EDFA.

The module is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85ºC.
