Description
UV Laser Diode in with 300mW in a TO18 (5.6mm) package.
The FWSL‑395‑300‑TO18‑MM is a high‑power UV laser diode from Frankfurt Laser Company. It is built around a 5.6 mm TO‑18 metal can package with a multimode laser diode inside and is optimized for continuous‑wave (CW) operation at 395 nm. The device produces around 300 mW of optical power (CW) at room temperature, delivering ultraviolet light in a narrow spectral region (2 nm FWHM). Because of its high output power and compact TO‑18 package, it is used in medical laser treatment, UV printing, and other applications. The diode must be operated within a strict temperature range (0 °C to +30 °C) to achieve reliable output.

Features
The FWSL‑395‑300‑TO18‑MM laser diode from Frankfurt Laser Company offers several noteworthy features. It emits ultraviolet light at 395 nm (±10 nm) and delivers a high continuous‑wave optical output of about 300 mW. Its narrow spectral width of 2 nm provides a clean UV emission, and the diode’s beam divergence is roughly 45° × 15° in the fast/slow axes, with a maximum of 51° × 21°. The laser is built in a compact 5.6 mm TO‑18 package and operates efficiently at drive currents around 330 mA, with threshold current near 130 mA . It has a relatively high slope efficiency of 1.6 mW/mA, runs from about 4.8 V to 5.5 V, and is designed for stable operation in a 0–30 °C temperature range.
