The Mitsubishi Rayon Super ESKA®-SHV is simple to install, requires no special tools for bare fiber connection, has no software setup, provides electrical (galvanic) isolation, is immune to data loss caused by electrical interference, is easy to conceal due to its small size, and is an eye-safe fiber optic solution with a visible light transmitter that enables intuitive install.

The Mitsubishi Rayon Super ESKA®-SHV can be used in a variety of applications, including consumer applications such as HDTV and set-top boxes, industrial control applications such as controller boards, frequency inverters/converters/drives, networking, power distribution, power transmission, and smart grids, industrial automation applications such as factory automation, medical applications such as diagnostic equipment, optical sensors, telemedicine- and telehealth devices, sustainable energy applications such as optical sensors and the wind industry, and telecommunications/networking applications such as data communication.

The Mitsubishi Rayon Super ESKA®-SHV is a simplex plastic optical fiber cable with a core material of polymethylmethacrylate and a cladding material of fluorinated polymer. It has a step index refractive index profile, a numerical aperture of 0.5±0.05, a core diameter of 980±60 μm, a cladding diameter of 1000±60 μm, and a jacket made of flame retardant PVC with a diameter of 2.2±0.07 mm and a black color.

The Mitsubishi Rayon Super ESKA®-SHV has an attenuation of ≤0.15 dB/m at 650nm and T=25℃, a bandwidth of ≥10 MHz•100m, a 4% tensile strength of ≥56 N, a short-term tensile force of ≤50 N, a short-term bend radius of ≥25 mm, a long-term bend radius of ≥35 mm, a crush strength of 700N/100mm, an impact energy of 0.2N•m, a twisting length of 250mm, a torsion angle of ±1800, and can operate in temperatures ranging from -55℃ to +85℃.
