Frequently Asked Questions

The QBX-08 is a dedicated Pockels cell driver designed for applications where the voltage on the Pockels cell should be continuously adjustable. It uses a voltage amplifier schematic with a maximum output voltage of 800V, and an amplification factor of 100:1.

The QBX-08 requires a power input of 24VDC and 1.5A (typical). It accepts an analog signal input of 0-8V with an input impedance of 50 Ohm.

The maximum output voltage of the QBX-08 is 800V, but other voltages both smaller and higher up to 1600V are available on request.

The QBX-08 is cooled using forced air cooling with an integrated fan.

The QBX-08 can achieve a repetition rate of up to 1MHz at smaller loads and voltages. The repetition rate is also limited by the formula fMAX*C*U^2=2W, for example, ~50kHz at 800V and 60pF, or ~130kHz at 500V and 60pF.

The QBX-08 is designed for capacitive loads with a load capacitance of less than 60pF, although other load types and capacitances are available on request.

The QBX-08 operates within a temperature range of +10 to +40 degrees Celsius. Its dimensions are 206x85x45 mm and it weighs approximately 0.6 kg.
