The MBC-HER is a compact and high-performance Modulator Bias Controller designed for high-extinction ratio applications with MZ modulators. This miniature OEM version is built to function at PCB level and offers precise locking of the modulator at key points, including positive slope quadrature (Quad+), negative slope quadrature (Quad-), null, and peak points.
With a high extinction ratio of over 45 dB, the MBC-HER ensures optimal performance in demanding optical systems. The controller features two operation modes (calibration mode and locking mode) and offers user-selectable locking slopes for fine-tuned control. A pigtailed photodetector is included, and external photodetectors are also supported for flexible setup options.
