Description
Our precision optical components are crafted from a variety of high-quality materials, each selected for its unique properties and performance in specific applications. These materials include Zinc Selenide (ZnSe), Zinc Sulfide (ZnS), Germanium (Ge), Silicon, Calcium Fluoride (CaF2), Sapphire, Fused Silica, and BK7 glass. Each material is meticulously processed to achieve exacting standards in diameter, thickness, and surface quality, ensuring optimal performance in demanding optical systems.
Our lenses and flats are designed with a diameter tolerance of +0.0''/-.010'' and a thickness tolerance of ±.010'', providing precision that meets the needs of advanced optical applications. The wedge surface figure is maintained at less than 3 arc minutes, with a surface quality of 40/20 or better, depending on the material. These specifications ensure minimal optical distortion and high clarity, essential for applications requiring precise light manipulation.
The surface finish of our optical components is designed to deliver exceptional performance, with a surface quality often exceeding 85% transmission. Chamfering is applied with precision, ranging from .01'' to .03'' at a 45° angle, to enhance durability and handling safety. These features, combined with the superior material properties, make our optical components ideal for a wide range of uses, from infrared to ultraviolet applications.
Our products are available in various types, including spherical and cylindrical lenses as well as flats/plano configurations, each optimized for specific wavelength ranges. We offer narrowband and broadband coatings for both infrared (IR) and ultraviolet/visible/near-infrared (UV/VIS/NIR) applications, ensuring maximum transmittance and minimal reflectance. Our laserline coatings provide exceptional reflectance, with IR coatings achieving ≥99.5% and UV/VIS/NIR coatings achieving ≥99.7% reflectance, making them ideal for high-power laser applications.
