Frequently Asked Questions

Nd:Ce:YAG is a high-efficiency laser material doped with Neodymium and Cerium in a Yttrium Aluminum Garnet host, used in medical, military, and meteorology fields.

Nd:Ce:YAG has less thermal distortion and greater output laser energy than Nd:YAG when pumped, allowing for high power lasers with good beam quality.

Nd:Ce:YAG crystals are used in diode-pumped lasers, flashlamp-pumped lasers, water-cooled or air-cooled lasers, pulsed or CW operations, materials processing, marking, welding, cutting, and laser range finding.

The primary lasing wavelength of Nd:Ce:YAG crystals is 1064 nm.

The thermal conductivity of Nd:Ce:YAG is 0.14 W∙cm⁻¹∙K⁻¹.

Nd:Ce:YAG crystal rods come in diameters from 3mm to 7mm and lengths up to 180mm, with a high damage threshold coating and excellent quality.

The damage threshold of Nd:Ce:YAG crystals is 750 MW/cm² for 10 ns pulses at 10 Hz at 1064 nm.
