Frequently Asked Questions

The 9235QB is a variant of the 9235B Photomultiplier Tube designed for applications requiring UV sensitivity. It is a 51mm (2”) diameter, end window photomultiplier with blue-green sensitive bialkali photocathode and 13 high gain, high stability, SbCs dynodes of linear focused design.

The 9235QB Photomultiplier Tube has low light level detection, high gain, low operating voltage, and good SER. Voltage dividers and magnetic shields are also available. In addition, the UK factory supplies housings, power bases, and signal processing electronics together with a new range of integrated detector modules.

The 9235QB Photomultiplier Tube is suitable for low light level detection.

The spectral range of the 9235QB Photomultiplier Tube is 160 - 630 nm.

The maximum ratings of the 9235QB Photomultiplier Tube are 0.02 A anode current, 0.01 A cathode current, 636 V anode-kilovolt, 0.005 milliamperes per liter of air, and 0.6 °C/minute temperature ramp rate. The ambient pressure (absolute) should not exceed 202 kPa.
