Description
The BLD-ND5502H-IFA(TEC) is a 1550 nm narrow linewidth coaxial laser module with integrated TEC cooler, designed for high-performance optical sensing and lidar applications. Built around a cooled DFB-LD chip, this device supports direct modulation with low noise, low distortion, and low threshold current, ensuring stable and reliable transmission.
At 25°C case temperature, the module delivers a typical output power of 2 mW, with a threshold current of 50 mA and forward voltage below 3 V. It features a center wavelength of 1550 nm (1547–1553 nm), linewidth ≤500 kHz measured by self-heterodyne method, and side mode suppression ratio (SMSR) up to 35 dB. Optical isolation reaches 30 dB to reduce back-reflection interference.
Equipped with an internal InGaAs/PIN monitor photodiode, the laser provides precise power tracking with a tracking error within ±1.5 dB. The integrated TEC enables a temperature difference of 40 K for excellent wavelength and power stability, supporting an operating temperature range of −40 to +85°C. Housed in a compact coaxial package with FC/APC single-mode fiber (G657.A2), it is ideal for lidar ranging and autonomous driving systems, combining long operational life and high environmental durability.
