The 1780~2000nm ASE Broadband Light Source from BOX OptronicsTech is a high-performance optical device designed for applications requiring mid-infrared wavelengths. Utilizing short wavelength laser-pumped thulium-doped fiber, this light source offers single-mode fiber output with a maximum power of up to 2W.
Its spectral coverage spans from 1780nm to 2000nm, making it ideal for laser biology, spectral measurement, and other scientific research applications. The light source is characterized by its spectral flatness and high stability, ensuring consistent performance across its operating range. This broadband light source is available in three models: Short (S), Long (L), and Wide (W), each with distinct average wavelengths and spectral widths.
The Short model has an average wavelength of 1880nm and a spectral width of 113nm, the Long model has an average wavelength of 1940nm and a spectral width of 90nm, and the Wide model has an average wavelength of 1902nm and a spectral width of 170nm. Output power options range from 10mW to 2000mW, with customizable power levels available to meet specific requirements.
The device features excellent power stability, with short-term stability of ≤±0.02dB over 15 minutes and long-term stability of ≤±0.05dB over 8 hours. The 1780~2000nm ASE Broadband Light Source is designed for easy integration into various systems. It supports different fiber types and connectors, including SM1950 and FC/APC.
The benchtop version measures 255(W)×322(D)×115(H) mm, while the module version is more compact at 139(W)×235(D)×70(H) mm. It operates within a temperature range of -5℃ to +55℃ and a humidity range of 0% to 70%. The light source is powered by AC 110~240V for the benchtop version and DC 12V for the module version. Its applications include fiber sensing, laser biology, and spectral measurement, making it a versatile tool for researchers and engineers in various fields.
