OVERVIEW

AWAVE GR Series models are Q-switched TEM00 mode lasers and are engineered for the highly demanding 24/7 production environment. Each system consists of a laser head and a laser controller connected with a 2.5 meter umbilical cable. The fiber-coupled pumping diodes are located in the laser controller for easy field-replacement. The laser head is sealed in a clean room to assure long-term reliability. AWAVE GR Series lasers are featured with pulse frequencies ranging from 1-300 kHz (300 kHz to 1 MHz is optional), average power covered from 10mW to 30W and pulse energy in excess of 10mJ. For a GR laser over 30W, please refer to the AW-HP Series. Our AWAVE GR lasers are designed and engineered with flexible laser architectures. Applications

A Diode-Pumped Solid-State (DPSS) Laser emits an intense laser beam of light with some unique and highly useful properties. The beam can be focused to a very small and intense spot, useful for applications requiring very high power densities such as cutting, drilling, welding and other type of material processing. The DPSS high power laser’s ability to be focused at a very small spot is also very useful for microscopic imaging and inspection applications. Additionally, the DPSS laser light can be very monochromatic – all the beam energy is confined into a narrow wavelength band, which can be important in biomedical, holographic, spectroscopic and other applications. Furthermore, the pulse laser can be used to create ultra-short pulse (ultra-fast) output – a pulse duration as short as 10-14s, which enables non-thermal machining and studies of the very fast physical and chemical processes.
