ZEPHIR 2.9 - SWIR camera 850-2900 nm
Description
Continuing its push to extend the boundaries of scientific and industrial imaging, Photon etc. presents its high performance, yet affordable, deep-cooled SWIR camera line. Based on sensitive HgCdTe (MCT) FPAs, and integrating a four-stage TE cooler, ZephIR 2.9 deliver an astounding 340 frame-per-second rate while reaching very low noise levels.
ZephIR 2.9 is an integrated HgCdTe camera with a 320 x 256 pixels focal plane array (FPA) that is sensitive from 850 to 2,900 nm. The built in 4-stage thermoelectric cooler (TEC) maintains consistently low temperatures (as low as -80 °C) enabling low noise operation across the entire spectral range of sensitivity.
The TEC forced air heat dissipation ensures longevity over water or liquid nitrogen chilled units and does not suffer from the limited lifetime of Stirling mechanical coolers.
First designed for demanding faint-flux applications such as small animal imaging in the second biological window, these SWIR cameras now bring new capabilities for industrial applications in quality control and sorting.
