Description
The Crystrong DLaTGS (Deuterated L-Alanine-doped Triglycine Sulfate) crystal is a highly stable pyroelectric material widely used in infrared detection and sensing applications. With a broad spectral response from 0.4 μm (750 THz) in the near-ultraviolet to 200 μm (1.5 THz) in the far-infrared, it offers unmatched versatility for aerospace, defense, medical, and fire safety technologies.
Derived from TGS (Triglycine Sulfate), DLaTGS retains its superior pyroelectric coefficient and low dielectric constant while improving thermal stability through deuteration and L-alanine incorporation. This unique modification increases the Curie temperature to 56–58°C, enhancing device performance under elevated operating conditions. Unlike standard TGS, DLaTGS crystals can lock polarization, ensuring inherent pyroelectric properties without additional polarization procedures.
The material demonstrates excellent stability—after heating above the Curie temperature and cooling, its pyroelectric performance is fully recoverable. Its wide spectral sensitivity, high figure of merit, and stable pyroelectric behavior make it particularly suitable for uncooled infrared detectors, thermal imaging systems, spectroscopy, and other precision sensing applications.
Crystrong’s DLaTGS crystals are engineered to deliver long-term reliability, making them an ideal choice for high-performance pyroelectric devices.
