The applications of the Amonics Superluminescent Light Source include fiber optic sensing, optical tomography, DWDM component characterization, and optical gyroscope.

The benchtop version displays output power, alarms, and driving current values on an LCD display, and output power can be adjusted by tuning the front panel control knob. The OEM module version requires only a single +5V power supply with low power consumption and is an ideal building block for OEM system integrators.
