Optical Aperture
Description
Precision Optical Apertures have higher circularity and hole size tolerance and are screened, selected and evaluated for high-quality imaging and diffraction applications. They may be used for spatial filters, molecular beam masks, pinhole cameras and other optical or mechanical purposes.Precision apertures produce higher quality diffraction patterns than standard apertures. Substrate thickness has been reduced to produce maximum ringing of the pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions
Precision apertures produce higher quality diffraction patterns than standard apertures. They have higher circularity and hole size tolerance and are screened, selected, and evaluated for quality.
Precision Optical Apertures are used for high-quality imaging and diffraction applications such as spatial filters, molecular beam masks, pinhole cameras, and other optical or mechanical purposes.
Precision Optical Apertures have various applications such as in laboratories, industrial and OEM settings, laser optics, high-power laser systems, sensors, measurement systems, laser beam shaping, and spatial filtering.
Precision Optical Apertures have a diameter of 9.5mm +0.025 / -0.050mm (0.374in +0.000984 / -0.00197in) and a thickness of 0.013 - 0.050mm (0.000512 - 0.00197in). They have centering tolerances of PP or LQ and aperture tolerances of 3 or 5.
Precision Optical Apertures are made of SS-302/304 per ASTM A666 (blackened finish per SOP 037-black), glass (borosilicate), or PTFE Teflon.
