Features

  • The QE series benefits from the use of a DB-15 male, “Smart Interface” connector, containing a memory chip programmed with the calibration sensitivity, the spectral correction factors at different wavelengths and other data relating to the specific Q series joulemeter head. This connector permits the Gentec-EO display or PC interfaceo automatically adjust to the characteristics of the joulemeter being connected.

  • All QE series detectors are also available with the INTEGRA connector. This option only needs a computer or tablet PC using the free software PC-GENTEC-EO. It is also programmed with the calibration sensitivity, the spectral correction factors at different wavelengths and other data relating to the specific QE series joulemeter head. The INTEGRA options are USB, RS-232 or USB with external trigger.

  • Every QE series joulemeter features high intrinsic responsivity and high insensitivity to electromagnetic interference.

  • The QE series also offers an exceptionally wide dynamic range and permits energy measurement from UV to far IR.

  • The QE series joulemeters are also available as custom products with analog output to be used with an oscilloscope or an OEM acquisition system.

Applications

The QE12SP-H-MT-D0 is a versatile pyroelectric laser energy detector by Gentec-EO, designed for precise laser energy measurements across a wide spectral range of 0.19 - 20 µm. It boasts a maximum energy measurement of 0.7 J with a low noise level, making it highly accurate for various applications. Its compatibility with different cooling modules and the optional QED attenuator allows for measurements of higher energy levels, enhancing its utility in laser optics, where it supports a wide array of laser types and high-repetition-rate systems up to 6000 Hz. For spectroscopy, its precise energy quantification and broad calibration options make it suitable for techniques requiring exact laser control. In metrology, the detector's high repeatability and detailed calibration data ensure reliable measurements, essential for accurate scientific and industrial applications.
