Description
The JumboSwitch® TC3847-1 is a compact and easy-to-configure 4-channel RS232/422/485 serial server that enables the transport of serial data over existing Layer 2/Layer 3 Ethernet networks. It supports various serial protocols, including MicroLok®, Genisys, Modbus, and DNP 3, and features RS-232 handshaking (CTS/RTS) for optimal data transmission.
With 128-bit SSL encryption for management and serial data, as well as port password protection, the TC3847-1 provides enhanced security for your data. It also offers multiple management options, including web, SNMP, and Telnet, and features temperature and power consumption monitoring for efficient system management.
Designed to meet or exceed IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613, and NEMA TS-2 standards, the TC3847-1 is a member of the JumboSwitch® product family, which includes TDM over IP/Ethernet-based solutions for emulating time-division multiplexing over packet switched networks. A DIN Rail (DR) version is also available for specialized applications.
