Energetiq Technology (a subsidiary of Hamamatsu Photonics) designs, develops, and manufactures ultra-bright, ultra-stable light sources that enable precise measurement and analysis in the world’s most demanding photonics-enabled instruments. Founded in 2004, Energetiq built its reputation on deep expertise in high-brightness light generation and the practical know-how to transition innovations from prototype to production - delivering reliable, long-life products engineered for uptime, repeatability, and on-time deployment in volume environments.

Energetiq’s portfolio includes broadband Laser-Driven Light Sources (LDLS®), Laser-Driven Tunable Light Sources (LDTLS®), the Chromatiq Spectral Engine™, and Electrodeless Z-Pinch™ EUV and soft X-ray technologies. Together covering high-brightness performance across the spectrum (from soft x-ray through infrared, with LDLS platforms commonly spanning deep UV into NIR). These platforms are designed for applications where brightness, stability, and tool-to-tool consistency directly impact yield and throughput—especially semiconductor metrology and advanced process control.

Recent innovations such as the EQX-850 reflect this focus: a next-generation LDLS platform created for advanced semiconductor metrology, delivering significantly higher brightness, exceptional output stability, and operational improvements such as eliminating the need for water cooling. In EUV, Energetiq’s next-generation Electrodeless Z-Pinch™ solutions emphasize performance with low debris and long operational lifetimes to help minimize downtime.
