Description
BBO(Beta Barium Borat, β-BaB2O4) is a nonlinear optical crystal with combination of a number of unique features:
Broad phase-matching range from 409.6nm to 3500nm
Wide transparency region from 190 nm to 3500 nm
Large nonlinear coefficient(~ 6 times greater than that of KDP crystal)
High damage threshold(10GW/cm² @1064nm,100ps pulse)
High optical homogeneity with dn≈10-6/cm
Wide temperature-bandwidth of about 55°C(Type 1 SHG 1064 nm)
BBO crystal has a number of advantages for different applications:
