The features of the TA-200 Encoder include enabling a small thin type optical sensor head (10 × 15 × 1.5mm), available analog sine wave outputs from an optical reflection type sensor, easy installation due to its wide gap tolerance between an optical head and a scale, and an auto calibration function of the sensor head.

The TA-200 Encoder uses differential output signals of A+, A-, B+, B-, Z+, Z- to enable high noise immunity. It outputs A,B signals from the interpolator, Z phase(index) signals from the encoder head, and Z phase(index) signal from the interpolator.
