A customer needed the ability to inspect their o-rings and seals with a mobile unit that could be moved from line to line. Cincinnati Automation was able to combine the design of the standard seal inspection systems with the pass through inspection cabinet principals and develop a mobile solution. The system incorporated material handling, laser gaging, and a vision inspection system for gaging and inspecting a range of seals and o-rings. It was designed with quick disconnect air, power, and communications, and placed on casters for easy transfer from one line to the next. It was designed to inspect parts in a range of sizes, roughly ½ inch to 2 inch in diameter.
